Marion (Scott) Wenberg
Sep 15th, 2022
Marion (Scott) Wenberg passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022 at the age of 83 with family and friend Sandy by her side. Marion was born on May 24, 1939, to the late Robert H. Scott and Katherine (Hunter) Scott of New Rochelle. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Otto Wenberg of South Yarmouth. They were married for 63 years. She is survived by her children Erica and Mary (Clouten) Wenberg of West Yarmouth, Tim and the late Barbara Wenberg of Texas, Jeff and Adriana Wenberg of Minnesota. Marion is also survived by three grandchildren, Sophia Wenberg, Jonathan Wenberg and Candace Colvin, her brother Robert Scott and his wife Rita of New Jersey as well as her sister-in-law Jeanne Wallin of Dennis. She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Dr Hutchinson for over 30 years. She loved her job tremendously.
Marion loved being outdoors, often walking her dogs, going to the beach and taking many vacations. She had a passion for animals. She also liked to sing and was a member of the Cape Chordaires choir for many years.
An incredibly thoughtful person she was generous with her time, listening patiently, and providing wise advice that helped many. The love and happiness Marion spread was boundless, and all those who knew her will cherish her warmth and friendship. Marion spent nearly all of her life thinking and caring for others, and she will be in the hearts and minds of all those close to her. Most of all, Marion will be remembered as a loving mother, spouse, and friend, as she spread her infectious optimism among all those she encountered. Her kindness, optimism, and joy inspired others to be the best versions of themselves. We are better for having had her in our lives. She will be dearly missed.
The staff at Mayflower Place in West Yarmouth provided outstanding care for our mother. The family thanks Richard and all of the aides who cared for her through the years.
A procession will leave from the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Friday, September 23, 2022

Erica, we were both really sad to hear of the passing of Marion. We had known her (and Carl) for almost 40 years and she was a truly delightful, sweet lady and I will miss having a kiss and cuddle with her which became our way of greeting each other! As you know we are on CC currently but I am still testing positive for Covid after 2 weeks so we will be unable to join you, Mary and the family. RIP Marion x
I am so sorry for the loss of Aunt Marion. I will carry memories of her love and kindness with me always. She was beautiful on the inside and outside. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Erica, Tim and Jeff.
Sending healing thoughts to you, Erica. You are an exemplary daughter who took such good care of your mom and your dad. May she be in peace as she is reunited with him.
I love you mum. You made me the man I am today Thank you for your love, care, kindness, and patience. I will greatly miss you.
Anytime such a kind and lovable woman is lost, the whole world is lessened. What I remember most about your sweet mom is her million dollar smile—a smile that reached right to her soul —-and her laughter. She was the best kind of special. Wishing you peace and comfort.
I Love you Mom. ❤️❤️❤️You have made me the man I am today.
