Maureen Harron Duffy, 72, of Yarmouth Port, MA passed away on July 16, 2022, in East Sandwich, MA, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.
Maureen was born in Wareham, MA to Reginald Harron and Teresa Harron on August 19, 1949. She attended Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and graduated in 1967. She spent time studying art at UMass Dartmouth after high school. Maureen built an impressive hospital administration career at Cape Cod Hospital, where she worked for over 40 years. Maureen was happiest around a warm wood fire reading, knitting gifts and beading intricate jewelry with her friends at Bass River Yacht Club.A devout donor to the St. Jude Organization, Maureen was generous and loved to give back to her community. Maureen Duffy loved her family deeply and her legacy will live through them.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Duffy II of Yarmouth Port, MA, her son Michael Duffy III, his wife Aimee and son Michael Duffy IV, of Snowmass Village, CO, her sisters Teresa Lamb of Williamstown, MA and Margaret Kuhn of West Palm Beach, FL and her husband Donald, her nephew Eugene Bernardo, his wife Kristen and their daughters Bridget and Margot and nephew Raymond Bernardo. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Renzie Lamb and parents Teresa and Reginald Harron.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara St. South Yarmouth, MA. 02664 on Monday July 25 at 11 am. Burial will be private.
