Esther (Pazakis) Stocchetti, 81, was born on May 23, 1940 in Hyannis, MA. and passed away on May 9, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Carlo Stocchetti and mother of David Stocchetti.

Esther passed away after a long illness and battle with Alzheimer’s disease. A lifelong resident of Dennis and Yarmouth, also known as “Essie” to many, Esther was the daughter of Michael R. and Mary A. Pazakis. Baptized in  St. George Greek Orthodox Church, she grew up in Yarmouthport as a child and lived on the northside of Dennis for the majority of her life.

Esther graduated from Tufts University with a teaching degree and Bachelor of Fine Arts.  She worked alongside her father for many years in the family’s restaurant business, at the Riverway Lobster House in South Yarmouth.  For many years Esther owned and operated a weight loss and diet center in South Yarmouth, MA. She enjoyed her time substituting for the art teacher at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School.

Esther was a lifelong Rotarian and served as President of the Yarmouth Rotary Club from 1997-1998.
Later in life she worked at her husband, Carlo Stocchetti’s, family business, Rose’s Restaurant, located in a section of Dennis called "Little Italy". Rose's and the Riverway Lobster House had the distinct honor of being the oldest family-owned restaurants on Cape Cod. Esther spent her summers managing the family’s summer rental cottages.

Her absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends walking on the beach, spending her winters in Florida and visiting museums

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Michael R. Pazakis and Mary A Pazakis of West Dennis, , her older sisters Dione M. (Pazakis) McCarthy of Sunnyvale, CA and Ann (Pazakis) Bush of Harwich, her brothers James M Pazakis Sr. of Chatham, and Michael R Pazakis Jr. of Brewster.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carlo M. Stocchetti of  Dennis, her only child David C. Stocchetti and his wife, Krista Randall of Bass River and Punta Gorda, FL,  her two brothers, Albert M. Pazakis of Brewster and Rossetto M. Pazakis  of South Yarmouth as well as Sylvia (Stocchetti) Leonard, Carlo’s sister of Dennis and  many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Friday, May 20 fom 12-2 P.M. with a funeral service at 2 P.M.  Interment in Dennis Village Cemetery, Route 6A, Dennis.

Esther would light up a room with her wonderful smile. She was a beautiful soul My sincerest sympathies to Carlo who was such a devoted husband and son David,whom Esther adored. May she Rest In Peace.
