Frances G. (Gallagher) Takala 99 of Barnstable died Wednesday February 16, 2022 at Whitney Place Assisted Living in Northborough.

She was the wife of the late USMC Colonel (Ret) David O. Takala, who died in 2009.

Born, raised and educated in Worcester, Frances was the daughter of the late James and Annie (Sandberg) Gallagher.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Ann Boule and her husband, Robert of Barnstable; a granddaughter, Kristin Miller and her husband, Grant; three great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Sean, and Logan; several nieces and a nephew. In addition to her husband, and parents, Frances was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kimberly B. Fenner.

Funeral services will be private.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations maybe made to the charity of one’s choice.
