Dennis:  Terry J. (Garfield) Dauphinais passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida on December 16, 2021 at the age of 74, after a long battle with cancer.  She was born in Hyannis to Dean and Norma Jean (Baribeault) Garfield.

 

Terry grew up on Cape Cod and graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1965.  She was a people person and would talk with anyone regardless of whether or not she knew you. She was an amazing baker and nick-named “Betty Crocker” by many. She was best known for her amazing chocolate cake. Taking her time in all that she did, never in a rush,  earned her another name, “Turtle”.  All who knew her were blessed.

 

On February 26, 1966 she married her high school sweetheart, David A. Dauphinais.  Together they raised four children; Dawn M. (Dauphinais) (Clark) Mooney, (her husband, Floyd) of Dover-Foxcroft, ME, Dale A. Dauphinais (his wife, Donna) of Valdosta, GA, Dean A. Dauphinais of Dennis Port, MA and the late David A. Dauphinais Jr.  Also surviving is her sister, Vicki M. (Garfield) Carroll.

 

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 2-4 P.M.  All are invited to a graveside service on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in Swan Lake Cemetery, Depot St., Dennis Port, MA.
