Lillian “Lil” M. (McHatton) Andrews 68 of Yarmouth Port and formerly of Billerica and Lowell, died unexpectedly, after a brief illness, Monday November 15, 2021 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, with her family by her side.

She was the wife of the late Charles “Bob” R. Andrews, who died in 2012.
Born in Boston, Lillian was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Simonds) McHatton.

Lillian was employed by Lower Cape Dental in Orleans for the past 30 years. Over the course of her lifetime, she was a certified dental assistant, office manager, building manager and a hairdresser. But her favorite job was being a Mum and Nana to her five kids and nine grandchildren. She was a parishioner at St. Pius Tenth Church in South Yarmouth, where she served as an usher.

Our Mum had a smile to brighten the darkest day. She loved to smile and shop. She took great pride in working in her yard and making her pool area beautiful. She enjoyed travelling with her family to York Beach, Aruba, St. Maarten and everywhere in between. She loved to cook and bake, especially at Christmas time, and we looked forward to her famous whoopie pies!

Lillian is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Marion and his wife, Kerry of Nashua, NH, and Matthew Andrews and his wife, Chheji of Yarmouth Port; two daughters, Venessa (Marion) Hunt and her husband, Keith Frevold of Billerica, and Jessica Marion of Lowell; three brothers, Robert McHatton and his wife, Patricia of Bridgton, ME, William McHatton and his wife, Holly of Hollywood, FL, and Joseph McHatton and his wife, Joanne of Beverly Hills, FL; a sister, Edith Douglass and her husband, Paul of Lowell; twelve grandchildren; and her in-laws, Allan and Rodney Andrews of Billerica, and Wayne and Fran Andrews of Townsend; several nieces and nephews; and her kitties, Boomer and Cricket, who are missing her terribly. Besides her immediate family, she is survived by her extended family at Lower Cape Dental, and the many patients she became friends with over the years. In addition to her husband and parents, Lillian was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca (Marion) Savoie.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday November 22 in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford, MA 01824-2942.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday November 21 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the MS Society of Massachusetts, 101A First Ave., Waltham, MA 02451 www.nationalmssociety.org or to the Mass. I met Lil at St. Piux Parish and enjoyed her friendship. She was always happy, smiling and cherished her family. We had a common love of Aruba and would compare trips whenever we both had visited. My sincerest sympathy to her family. May Lil Rest In Peace.
