Gary E. Space, 67, of Yarmouth Port passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Born and raised on Cape Cod to Elizabeth and Douglass Space, Gary grew up in Yarmouth Port and attended the D-Y school system. After graduating from D-Y High School, Gary enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in July of 1982 after suffering multiple brain injuries. Gary most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as his years working for the Christmas Tree Shops. Gary is survived by his sister Pamela Coggeshall, Nephew Chet Coggeshall (Alexa), niece Annie Coggeshall (Marc), niece Faythe Coggeshall (Lee), and his great-nieces and nephews, Brianna, Landon, Conor, Mia, and Rhea. Gary was predeceased by his parents Douglass and Elizabeth “Betty” Space, his brother Bryan Space and his sister Melody Space Zamachaj, all of Yarmouth Port. “Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.” Services are to be determined and will be private.
