Janet M. Crowley, 76 of West Dennis passed away on April 18,2025, surrounded by her loving children.
Janet was born in Cambridge MA to Majorie and Thomas Levins on June 26th, 1948. She was a member of the Somerville High Class of 1966 and graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in 1983. She worked for the MWRA for the last twenty years of her career before retiring to her Cape house fulltime with her devoted husband Gerald Barry (d.2013).
She enjoyed the beaches of Cape Cod, taking her Boston Whaler up and down the Bass River. She was a loving dog mom to Mandy, Honey and most recently Mr. Coco. Janet enjoyed visiting Florida during retirement with Gerry. She enjoyed the beauty of the water and spending time with her grandkids. Her favorite recent trip was a 4-week driving tour of the American Southwest in 2015 with her youngest daughter Lynda.
Janet is survived by daughter Michelle and husband Mike McNally of North Attleboro, son Brian and his wife Karri Crowley of Sandwich, her daughter Lynda and her wife Alyssa Nix of Winston-Salem NC. Her older brother Thomas Levins and his wife Karen of Hudson MA, and younger brother Charles Levins of Fallon NV. Janet is also survived by her second family Kevin Barry and his wife Maressa, Keri Bemis and her husband John, Donna Bemis and her husband Brian. Janet is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Joshua Mahoney, Shawn Mahoney, Allyson Crowley, Emma Crowley, Brendan Crowley, Lucas McNally, Madisyn McNally, Megan Barry, Ashley Barry, Adam Bemis, Ryan Bemis, and Emily Bemis.
Janet’s request was that the only services to be held in her memory would be a “Celebration of Life” which will be held at Alberto’s in Hyannis. Saturday May 3rd from 1-4PM. 360 Main Street, Hyannis MA.
