Barbara A. (Mulryan) Boraski, 82, of Yarmouth Port, passed away on Thursday April 10, 2025 in Barnstable MA. She was born in Bronx, New York, to Mary E. and Michael G. Mulryan.

Barbara graduated from West Boylston Middle/High School, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. It was during her undergraduate years that Barb met the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Boraski. They were married for 57 years before Chuck’s passing in 2020.

Barbara taught 7th and 8th grade English in the Dalton public schools for many years and is still fondly remembered by her former students. Chuck and Barb resided in the Berkshires for over five decades before she moved to Yarmouth Port, Mass in 2020 to enjoy the beauty of Cape Cod and to be closer to family.

Barbara was an avid reader and remembered everything she read. The library couldn’t keep up with her. She loved to play golf and played in tournaments at the Wahconah Country Club in Dalton. She was an avid Mahjong player, and was lucky enough to find a group of fellow mahjong lovers in both the Berkshires and at Kings Way in Yarmouth Port. Barb was also a very “BIG” fan of the New England Patriots and Notre Dame football. She knew all the players and stats! Barb loved a good conversation with family and friends, as well as with strangers in line at the supermarket. She always made friends easily and enjoyed activities and trips with her “girls”. She also loved spending time with her great grand-puppy Soybeanz, who brings joy and sunshine wherever she goes and visited her often.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Williams of Yarmouth, MA, four grandchildren, Zachary and Sarah Williams of Yarmouth and Jillian and Ryan Boraski of North Attleboro, her sister, Mary J Savage of Worcester, and brothers Michael J Mulryan and his wife Ellen and Dennis W Mulryan and his wife Theresa of West Boylston, and brother Terrence Mulryan of Oklahoma. Barbara was predeceased by her son, Christopher, who passed in 2012.

The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at Cape Cod hospital and Liberty Commons for the care given to Barb. It was much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Town of Yarmouth Library Department, 1146 Route 28, South Yarmouth, MA 02664 to support our local libraries that meant so much to Barb.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth, MA. A celebration of Barbara’s life will follow at 1:30pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
