David Allen Keigwin, 77, of South Yarmouth, MA passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025. Born in Natick, MA, to the late Curtis and Elizabeth (Aylott) Keigwin, David was raised in Medfield, MA, where he spent his early years helping his father at the family-owned gas station.
After graduating high school, David answered the call of duty and was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, serving his country with courage and commitment. Following his service, David relocated to Cape Cod, where he found a sense of home and belonging.
Known for his quiet and reserved demeanor, David found joy in his role as an autoparts courier, a job he performed with diligence and pride. Away from work, David cherished the companionship of his loyal seeing-eye dog, who remained steadfastly by his side. He was an avid sports enthusiast who delighted in watching basketball and cheering on his beloved New England Patriots.
David’s life was marked by a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures and a steadfast resilience that endeared him to those fortunate enough to know him.
David is survived by his cousin Karen and her husband David Barry of Charlton, MA, his second cousins Kim and her husband Jay Cormier of CA, Betsey and her husband Bill DePippo of Wrentham, MA and Susan and her husband David Wheeler of Hopkinton, MA.
A graveside service will be held in his honor at Massachusetts National Cemetery on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
