Locke, Dolores Helen (Argiro) 82 of Yarmouth, MA passed away February 25, 2025, at the Maplewood at Mill Hill Residence, West Yarmouth, MA after a lengthy illness. She was born in Boston, MA to the late Paul G. Argiro and Antoinette Spagnolia Argiro on July 24, 1942.

Dolores was raised in Belmont, MA by her father Paul and stepmother Helen DePonte Argiro where she graduated from Belmont High School which she developed a career in accounting management, working at MIT, Amherst College, the Town of Winthrop and Massachusetts Financial Services.

A person who loved people, Dolores always excelled in making friends with recent acquaintances while keeping up with the activities of old friends. She was a bright, vibrant, outgoing individual who always saw the best in people or a situation. Moving to Cape Cod twenty-two years ago opened a new vista for exploring the Bass River area and Cape Cod byways as well as spending time on her prized hobbies of gardening and restoring older houses.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Arthur J. Locke of Yarmouth Port, MA and her siblings: Helene Culbreth of Yarmouth Port, MA Marie T. Desmond of Yarmouth Port, MA; Eugene T. Argiro (Antoinette) of Stoneham, MA, Ann Paula Brennan of TX and Paul G. Argiro (Janice) of Derry, NH.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Pius X Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth, MA at a later date.
